Inspiration ~ Bake a cake

BAKING
A CAKE

A little boy is telling his Grandma how "everything" is going wrong.    School, family problems, severe health problems, etc.

Meanwhile, Grandma is baking a cake.  She asks her grandson if he would like a snack, which, of course, he does.

"Here, have some cooking oil."

"Yuck" says the boy.

"How about a couple raw eggs?"

"Gross, Grandma!"

"Would you like some flour then?  Or maybe baking soda?"

"Grandma, those are all yucky!"

To which Grandma replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad by themselves, but when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!

God works the same way.

Many times we wonder why
He would let us go through such bad and difficult times.
But God knows that when He puts these things
all in His order, they always work for good!
We just have to trust Him and,
eventually, they will all make something wonderful!"

God is Crazy About You.
He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise
every morning.  Whenever you want to talk, He is there to listen.  He can live anywhere in the universe,
and yet He chose your heart.

I want you to be encouraged and know the trials of life serve a meaningful purpose in making us stronger.  If we had it easy all the time, we would not be useful in doing the work of the Lord.

Just as a seed has the determination in fighting through the ground that is trying to suffocate it and keep the seed from breaking forth to its glorious destination, so it is with us when we go through problems  that try to keep us down.   We need to have the mind set that we will  break through and be victorious over every obstacle.

The seed fights through and is stronger in the end,
and we need to have the same determination
and know in the end, we will be stronger
and more able to handle life’s challenges.

Do not lose heart if life is not easy for you right now,
but encourage yourself
and know you will be much stronger
mentally and physically
because of the trials of life.

In the end, we will be grateful to the Lord for
building our character through life’s challenges.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Proverbs 3:5-8
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will direct your paths. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn your back on evil. Then you will gain renewed health and vitality.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
“There is a time for everything,
a season for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to rebuild.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
A time to search and a time to lose.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak up.
A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.”

2 Corinthians 4:17-18
“For our present troubles are quite small
and won’t last very long.
Yet they produce for us an immeasurably great glory
that will last forever!
  So we don’t look at the troubles we can see right now;
rather, we look forward to what we have not yet seen.
For the troubles we see will soon be over,
but the joys to come will last forever.”

Romans 8:28 “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose...”
