Hi All,

Just a thought here abouts is there a place for Christian Archaeology On this website.

Some dig in the soil of the past.

Others look up into the past when they search the heavens for knowledge and inspiration.

Others dig in Holy Scripture and find everything but Christ!

But we know better don't we The Past contains the future and the soil is the Word of God?

There has been so much found just in the last 20 years or so. Amazing stuff.

Those minimalists still claim that the victory stele with "House of David" written on it doesn't mean that David. 

Just read an old Readers Digest that spoke of a find of an alter that Joshua built when they entered the promised land! I'll have to pull that out. Forget the name...

It is three volumes on my book shelf somewhere, I haven't seen them for twenty years I had better go and look.

INTERNET has been invented too since last reading them!

It seems to me that when I was a child, I was taught that the snake that talked with Eve walked on hind legs.

The snake walked in The Garden of Eden, I would say so.  Real Place Created by God and not man as was suggested strongly last night in a BBC. program by an unbelieving Archaeologist!

Blind was leading the blind.  I hope she, an archaeologist, evolves soon into a Christian before she lays another egg!

Second round:  Interesting one today in Science Daily: Archaeology News,

Protein from bones of 600,000-year old mammoth has been extracted successfully.  Collagen lasts longer than DNA seemly  DNA only goes back 100,000 years!

Process carried out at York/Manchester Universities using what I used to be familiar with using mass Spectrometer for forensic work.  Now applied to prehistoric!  I know the feeling well!

Experts in Israel always call such finds forgeries. It's because there is no 'pedigree' for the object. They want objects that were known to be dug from the ground and by whom. Otherwise they don't believe you can accept them as real. They also don't want to encourage looting sites by such rif raff. They are elitists and will not accept anything without a pedigree.

I've read about this in Biblical Archaeology Review. Hershel Shanks, the editor, strongly disagrees with this idea. He believes ALL objects need investigated. Leaving out things without this 'pedigree' leaves out some really great finds.

The bone box of James, brother of Jesus is one example. They have tried to make it a forgery when all important examinations have shown it to be real.

A trial in Israel for the owner of the bone box was held over a year ago and we are still waiting for the judge's decision on whether the owner was a fraud and the box is a hoax.

But in a certain light it is not difficult to interpret the marks around the figure’s brow as a crown of thorns.

The extraordinary picture of one of the recently discovered hoard of up to 70 lead codices – booklets – found in a cave in the hills overlooking the Sea of Galilee is one reason Bible historians are clamouring to get their hands on the ancient artefacts.

If genuine, this could be the first-ever portrait of Jesus Christ, possibly even created in the lifetime of those who knew him.

An interesting one on Dark Matter!  We used to know it as ether years ago.

A particle of Creation, now that rings a bell or two, doesn't it!

But man must find it first, of course Jesus never lost it did He!!! .... !

I wonder if the theory of dark matter is fact.

Maybe what they think is dark matter is really Sefirot.

Hi Ruth,

Well a Physicist got his weighing scales out a while ago and discovered that if he added all the know mass up in the Universe he was fifty percent short of the answer!

So he called it dark matter because you could not see it with a telescope!

The Victorians guessed as much and called it ether!

Then somebody had a thought and realised it was the sound you hear when you listen too radio background squizal!

But they still can not measure it because you can not see it and seeing is believing you know!

And then there was Jesus but you can not believe Him because you can not measure Him!

But isn't Jesus wonderful,
