I don't know. A Lutheran acquaintance once told me that the Lutherans were so close to the Roman Catholic church that they might as well be joined.

What does this mean to you, Colin?

I am Christian Missionary Alliance. It was a missionary organization began in the early 1900's by a Presbyterian who became a bit pentecostal (charismatic) and this organization then became a denomination and it has grown pretty big. We don't worry about all the different beliefs people have such as predestination, eternal security, pretrib rapture etc etc. We only are concerned with taking the gospel to anywhere men have not heard it. Except we seem to forget there are people right here in America...

Well Ruth,

The Church of England in England were in sympathy with Martin Luther and the preceding Lutheran Church on The Continent of Europe!

The Geneva Bible at the time got right up the King's nose with it's comments in the margin I am afraid and that is why we have The King James Version/Bible without the trappings/notes of Calvinism!

In fact my 1882 version doesn't even have page numbers as well!

Checking with The Archbishop of Westminster on Sky-news this morning I believe fifty priests with two bishops this time going over to Rome and will be priested on June 10th.  With congregations with them.

We will have to wait and see what happens this year as far as I am concerned though?  I could well find myself more comfortable across the Tiber with them but this is not the time to move with haste!

Women Bishops without a separate stream of Male Bishop Oversight means to me resignation!

Women priests I can avoid now but as the priesthood becomes a female majority I might be forced to move early!

Active Sodomites in the church priesthood and their weddings on Holy Ground threatened might also mean an early exist.

Members of Parliament who are queers and PC. interfering with Church Government now on the horizon?  Socialism/Liberalism in Parliament might also mean two fingers up at the Establishment as well.

I can see a radical underground Church replacing the parish system.  Also stronger Diocesan rule coming about but not in my time I think/hope!

This Church of mine is more likely to turn into an female mothers union I fear!!! .... !

Yours in Christ,

Colin.

PS.  But isn't Jesus wonderful, of course he has to be with this sea of duckeggs in the ascendancy!

Colin! You have such a way with words!  laugh

I believe I could be happy in the Roman Catholic church, as well as a Presbyterian church if need be.

I joined some Messianic believers in their church services with much praise and worship on the Jewish New Year, Yom Kippur. They blew this very long and harmoniously and kind of echoing horn! Some of the songs and the dance around the church were foreign to me but I have learned to feel at home, now, with all others who worship my Savior and King, Jesus. I have come a long way.

Hi Ruth,

Yes in all the tales of woe that I sink into regularly I went over to the Maranatha singers and immersed myself in the praise chorus.

"I will enter his gates with thanksgiving in my heart,
I will enter His courts with praise,
I will say this is the day that the Lord hath made,
because He has made me glad He has made me glad!"

A small miracle for I have great difficulty in remembering poetry/lyric etc.

And not only that and not just the beautiful photography presented in the singing but I received a vision/picture in my minds eye of the procession of The Temple Choir singing and dancing their way through The Temples Courts into the Holy Place where Jesus was to be seen sitting on His Throne with The Holy Presence of The Father surrounding Him in The HolyGhost Presence!

The Smoke and sweet smell of incense hovering over The Gold Clad Ark of His Promise with his People!

And you see what praise and worship can do when the mystical meets worship with His own sacrifice of Praise and Glory!

What a good job I kept your Maranatha Screen on UTube!

Yours in His Everlovingtenderkindness,

Colin.

Today was Palm Sunday. The children came into the sanctuary all waving palm fronds while we were singing this song. And they danced around the aisles with their palms.  Smiley clapper clapper

Praise is rising, eyes are turning to You, we turn to You
Hope is stirring, hearts are yearning for You, we long for You
'Cause when we see You, we find strength to face the day
In Your Pres- ence all our fears are washed away, washed away

CHORUS
Ho- san- na, ho- sanna
You are the God Who saves us, worthy of all our praises
Ho- san- na, ho- sanna
Come have Your way among us
We welcome You here, Lord Jesus

Hear the sound of hearts returning to You, we turn to You
In Your Kingdom broken lives are made new, You make us new
'Cause when we see You, we find strength to face the day
In Your Pres- ence all our fears are washed away, washed away

CHORUS
Ho- san- na, ho- sanna
You are the God Who saves us, worthy of all our praises
Ho- san- na, ho- sanna
Come have Your way among us
We welcome You here, Lord Jesus

'Cause when we see You, we find strength to face the day
In Your Pres- ence all our fears are washed away
'Cause when we see You, we find strength to face the day
In Your Pres- ence all our fears are washed away, washed away

CHORUS
Ho- san- na, ho- sanna
You are the God Who saves us, worthy of all our praises
Ho- san- na, ho- sanna
Come have Your way among us
We welcome You here, Lord Jesus
(Repeat)
Ho- san- na, ho- san- na
Ho- san- na, ho- san- na
