May 13, 2011

Dear U.S. Citizens located in the State of Israel:

The purpose of this communication is to notify you of demonstrations planned for this weekend:

Sunday, May 15th is known as “Nakba Day.” Some Palestinians mark this date to protest the establishment of the Jewish state and numerous demonstrations are expected to take place. The Israeli National Police and Israeli Defense Force are preparing for the possibility of disturbances throughout Israel and the West Bank, beginning this Friday.

In addition to the highlighted activity below, spontaneous demonstrations can occur throughout Israel. As always, please be aware of your surroundings and remember that protests intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and possibly escalate into violence. Avoid areas of demonstrations and maintain a high level of vigilance and situational awareness while traveling to mixed Jewish and Arab neighborhoods. For example, Um al-Fahm on Highway 65 has been an area of protest in the past.

Friday, May 13th
- Calls made to gather in mosques within Israel and the West Bank.
- Protest planned for the Shabra Junction in Baqa Al-Gharbiya, located northeast of Netanya, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Rally planned for the soccer stadium in the town of Kafr Qana, located northeast of Nazareth, at 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 14th

- A 4:00 p.m. march from the Clock Tower in Jaffa towards Gan Ha-Shnaim will take place. 20 buses from all over the country are expected to bring participants to this march.
- Fatah activists from Jerusalem have announced massive demonstrations at the Nablus Gate of the Old City.
- A march along Route 1 from Shua’afat refugee camp to Beit Jubrin will take place. Both towns are located in the vicinity of Jerusalem.

Sunday, May 15th

- Numerous demonstrations are planned in West Bank towns and border crossings.
- Hundreds of activists intend to demonstrate on the Lebanese side of the northern border of Israel near the village of Marun Al-Ras.
- Numerous demonstrations are planned along the borders of Syria, Egypt and Jordan.

U.S. Consulate General Jerusalem released the following Warden Message regarding demonstrations planned for Nakba Day in Jerusalem and the West Bank:

As a precaution, the U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem is restricting personal travel by official U.S. personnel and their family members to Jerusalem’s Old City and the West Bank (specifically, Jericho and Bethlehem) during this period. U.S. citizens are encouraged to defer travel to these areas as well. U.S. citizens should also take extra precautions in East Jerusalem, especially when travelling in the vicinity of the Old City, Silwan, Sheikh Jarrah, and Isawiyah.

Access restrictions to the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount and a heavy police presence within the Old City and its environs are anticipated at entry points, to include the Damascus, Herod’s, and Lions’ gates, in addition to random security checkpoints set up along main thoroughfares to the Old City. U.S. citizens should keep in mind the possibility that the GOI may restrict access to areas of East Jerusalem and the West Bank with little or no warning. Where possible, avoid all checkpoints and areas near the West Bank separation barrier.

To stay current on breaking news developments, please monitor http://www.ynetnews.com/ and other English language news sites. U.S. citizens can also find up to date security and safety advice from the Government of Israel’s Office of Homefront Command, at: http://www.oref.org.il/315-en/PAKAR.aspx.

U.S. citizens traveling abroad should regularly monitor the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs website, where the current Worldwide Caution, Travel Warnings, Travel Alerts, and Country Specific Information can be found. U.S. citizens are also encouraged to review “A Safe Trip Abroad” , which includes valuable security information for those both living and traveling abroad. In addition to information on the Internet, travelers may obtain up-to-date information on security conditions by calling 1-888-407-4747 toll-free in the United States and Canada, or outside the United States and Canada on a regular toll line at 1-202-501-4444.

U.S. citizens living or traveling abroad are encouraged to maintain valid travel documents and to enroll in the Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP), to receive the latest travel updates and information and to obtain updated information on travel and security issues.

If you need specific assistance from the U.S. Embassy, contact our switchboard during office hours (03-519-7575). Outside of office hours, contact 03-519-7551 and your call will be transferred to the Embassy’s duty officer. Yes, another one of the many demonstrations that basically say we don't have a right to exist

In this case it's bigger than usual but on principal there is nothing new in it

Well... God can see it all from wherever He is and what HE says, goes!

We'll just have to wait and see prayer1

David

P.S.  today was pretty quiet

Reminds me of the wahhabi uprising in Egypt against the Copts, churches burned, people dead.

Uprising to make an Islamic Empire of Egypt

This has nothing to do with Israel. It has everything to do with world domination by Islam
We just happen to be in the front line

...although... I don't really believe in anything just happening.....  Wink

Insightful.

I had never put the 2 together. duh!

Of course you're right. The world, the citizens of every western nation that is being overwhelmed by Muslims are blind! No one can see what is happening. And in the microcosm that is Israel, it's the same thing. They can't see. Can't see what's happening to themselves and can't see what's happening to your country.

What do you think? Will Islam ever be stopped?
Will they dominate the world?
Will everyone be required to bow to Allah?

Or will some power rise up to defend the world?

And which will eventually become that super super evil powerful antichrist? The mockery of our Savior?

Well RA, lets put it this way

Seeing as my dreams and/or nightmares are not going to make a dent in reality
I would rather be a totally naive optimist than a sour-faced pessimist

Whatever the outcome will be, I will at least enjoy the time up to that point  party_time

So, now that we know it makes no difference, what do I think?   thinking2
I believe God's spirit is roaming and hovering over every soul on the planet. Some will be touched. Some will be irritated by it. Some will be angry at God's intervention, but some...quite a lot I believe, will feel that warm touch and it will do something inside of them, they will turn, reluctantly at first, then see something and turn right around to face the light. There will be more and more as time goes on. It will be like a snowball effect. Mankind will be raised beyond it's highest expectations

Yeshua, will be smiling radiantly   sunny sunny sunny

That's my dream. What does yours look like?

The world definitely is blind

The State Dep't claims the Wahabi uprising against Christians is financial political....burning down churches and murdering Copts                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          The same in Israel, the attack against Israelis is purely financial reasons.  They put a blind eye as to the lives of Christians and Jews around the globe.............

But the Muslim booted off the plane received an apology....These muslims likened their humiliation to the Rosa Parks episode who was booted off of a bus for being black

Olivet, the man who was beating on the cockpit door shouting Allah akbar! was apologized to?HuhHuhHuh??
I can't believe it.

David, I love asking what other people will think will happen.

I don't know either and we don't know for a reason. But it appears the Muslims are growing in number and political power.

But I still wonder, is there someone who will come to power and stop the Muslims that the world will then thank with homage and worship...

I am not so sure that the Muslims are growing in number and political power.

I tend to think it's the decibels that are doing it

Loud noise seems to work on people and they sure know how to do that

I'm sure you've seen kids shouting at each other as though whoever shouts the loudest, wins the argument.
Same here except that vocal noises are replaced with artificial ones....bombs and stuff....

And yes, we might yet see the great "ear plugs" coming into action. But I don't think I could ever worship ear plugs....

Hi David,

Yes, what is all this about,  America has learnt that people stop using common sense and moral law if you shout louder.

That evil word, Homosexual is now going to be taught to my grandchildren next week in her state school with all the rest of the free sex is good for you following!

Homosexuals, possibly 2 1/2 % of population if that in England??

Islam 2 1/2 % of the population in England???

Christians, 10% of the population in England???

Perverts, do you know I don't know there is no such religion yet in England???

Secularism only 2 1/2 % in England I strongly suspect???

Who can shout the loudest and who is prepared to kill themselves for others small number getting smaller ever time they light their fuse!!!....!

But isn't Jesus wonderful, The rest of Trinity coming in a close second too Oooh,

Colin.
