2 fires in north of Israel

I know Israel is a very dry country. But I don't remember all the fires in the past. Like the ones in the Carmel Mountains a few months ago.

RA, there is nothing unusual about fires in Israel. What is unusual is the way they are presented in the media. In this case they made a whole big thing of it.
Did you hear anything about 4 killed and around 60 wounded in an explosion in Natania? I would think that is more of a news item than annual fires. (They think the explosion was from a bad gas leak + a lighted cigarette)

As for the fires. The one on the Golan is right opposite us on the other side of the Jordan.
Being a desert country, any puddle becomes an attraction and the Meshushim pool is quite something.
Meshushim is plural for Meshusheh which is a 6 sided area. The name is due to the stones surrounding the pool which are 6 sided crystal type of rocks. The fires are either from heat, negligence or started on purpose.
Who would start fires on purpose? There is a view amongst Palestinians that this is a way to fight Israel. If you follow the news closely you might notice that not a day goes by without some fire outbreak.

By the way, because of fire hazards and lack of local wood, building here is with stone, cement and such. Not many wood buildings around.

Yes, I read about the explosion in Netanya. At first I wondered about terror. But they later said they thought it was a gas leak.
