The Hatred from them reminds one of the Nazi Brown Shirts toward the Jew's in the time in Germany before WWII.  This time it is the Christians and ordinary Americans under threat of this hatred!  They must be doing something right anyway for Christ don't you think!!! .... !

Nothing new.

Just a new activity by the loving 'feel your pain' progressive left wing fringe who seem to have hijacked our country to a large extent. We have roving groups of kids, 40 or so ages 10-15 showing up in cities in the northeast, beating people to a pulp or robbing stores or destroying property.
We have people stealing copper wire from churches, homes, manhole covers and all manner of metal items from local towns and buildings to sell probably for scr**.
We have a 'church' picketing at dead solders' funerals, telling the loved ones that God hates them and their soldier.
We have Muslims in our country killing their teen age daughters for becoming too 'western'.
We have lost our moral compass. Right is wrong and wrong is right. And our society has accepted sin as the moral right.

I think it's a big sign of the end times.

I posted a similar thread at ZB and some didn't agree with me. Said this is the way things have always been. But I'm afraid they are blind.

I'm not so sure that it isn't the media, facebook and such, that are allowing things to surface more than ever before. It was all there since the garden.
I find that when sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these (Gal 5:20-21 ESV) , become the norm, the result is what we are faced with.
It takes love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (Gal 5:22-23 ESV) to counteract these trends.
It's the age old spiritual battle

I find that the best way to combat these "fruits of the spirit" is by looking in the mirror and being honest with myself and the reflection.
Even going as far as Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? (Mat 7:3  ESV). After all there isn't much I can do about someone else's lifestyle, and as for my own... I have the Spirit as a teacher. I just need to follow.

But I like RA think here in the USA..cuz that's where we're at and live, things have gotten worse.

I really believe for us , it was when God was taken out of school.  When prayer was NOT allowed anymore.

Not saying things didn't 'go on' that were just as sinful as now.  But I don't think things were accepted like they are now.

I grew up in the bible belt .  Until the early 70s...a school teacher could not buy beer at the liqueur store and it was not sold in grocery stores.  They had to drive to another town and get the beer and put it in a brown grocery sack so if someone saw them caring the sack, they would think it was groceries.  There were many little towns that didn't have any alcohol stores of any kind.  In fact many states around me had what was called the Missouri Blue Law.  It was a law that only certain things could be sold on Sunday.  Most stores were closed and the few things you could buy we available at the gas station, or the one drug store( and they use to take turns being opened on Sunday).  A few restuarants and the movies and that was it.

Now everything is open 24/7.

Movies/TV were not rated because they were all G .  No one cussed  or much of anything else.  It was family entertainment.

Like I said I lived in a small town, and people left their cars unlocked and most of the time the keys were left in the car, houses that were locked had the key under the door mat or in the mail box.

Now , in the major cities I know it was different.  But for the most part of this huge country, people had better morals and stood up for them. 

Now the ones who do stand up for morals are 'labeled' right winged Christian nuts.

The biggest problems they had with the high school kids,.... gum chewing, smoking in the restrooms, and fights after a ball game and of course the rock and roll music.

Your description and moral out look fits England back in the forties and fifties as well! (Especially re Sundays!).

Now we have gone the same way as your Country!

Sad, when if it is now in the open, whatever, and accepted it is normal!

But worse is to follow with right been wrong and wrong been right why shouldn't the country and us go to Hell merrily singing the song, "I like it so it must be right!"

A new religious society is about to be born in England as a result of TEC. in America here within the Church of England, (Anglicans),  I am looking forward to it's arrival. Back to the future with the old standards of four hundred years ago as the drawn line in the sand, all based in and on Holy Scripture the extension of The LORD in my society perhaps!

Before long if you want to insult somebody you will only need to call him a homosexual when he isn't!

But isn't Jesus wonderful, at the foot of the Cross it is all happening again,

What is happening here is that the problem is exposed, at least in this forum. Good start.
Yet, if it ends here, it's all just academic discussions. I don't believe this was Yeshua's idea for us.

If there is anything practical to be done about it, apart from praying, it is first and foremost our own personal walk.
You see, I believe we are here as witnesses rather than judges. This, to my mind, means that we express God's will for mankind in the very way we ourselves live. God can do anything and everything Himself but He chose to work through us. If we are serious about His will being done, I would say we should look in the mirror and see where we fit in personally in the whole problem. Lets not forget we are a part of mankind as long as we are here on Earth, after that I don't presume to know....

To put this in practical terms: If, lets say, I find out one of my friends is a homosexual, what do I do about it? Should I keep away from him? Should I try changing him, somehow? Should I tell him how bad he is and what his end will be? Should I tell him about our Savior? What....?

Lets remember Yeshua went to sit with the tax collectors and prostitutes saying that it is the sick who need a doctor, not the "healthy" (in their own eyes)

I understand what you're saying David,
and have worked with many, many homosexuals, in fact my very favorite hair dresser in CA where I live for over 30 years was gay.

They all knew where I stood in my faith, but I never mistreated them or abused them. But are homosexuals committing a greater sin than those who live together and have children and never marry?

If the law of the land says you need to marry, and the bible talks about marriage, is this a bigger sin?

I agree we need to treat people as Jesus would and he did go where others didn't.

A while back a young woman came to ZB who is gay and the treatment she got there was so horrible and those of us who tried to reach out to her was so embarrassed .  You will never reach someone yelling, and sending them to hell and making a mess will you?  Jesus did not do that did he?

I don't buy into the doctrine that you don't tell someone that God loves them, because they might not be the elect and he might not love them.  My bible tells me  in John 3:16, that he loves all the world, and wants all to come to him. 

So those who are living a lifestyle of doom need to know, we need to try and reach them and we need to keep trying to raise our standards of living by speaking out , but living what we speak.

I was just going to leave your post to David and yourself but I feel I must comment on this one of yours and the young lady.  A few years ago I for one had a high tolerance rate with respect to homosexuals.  Live and let live was the attitude, I might not like what they do particularly with regard to Sodomy but a rye smile and get on with my own sin/sins and problems. 

Then I met up with the gay liberation crowd on some of the so called Christian Forums!  A few were good forums with regard to Christianity.  Others, however, were filled deliberately by non-Christian heretics there to make sure the Word of Christ would either be drowned out of the debate, twisted by the liars that they were and are or plain simple follows of the Satanic!

The result has been that no matter what you say or do, they the homosexual activists must win the argument and to hell with you and I!  People seem to have forgotten conveniently sometimes that to smash the oppositions windows, threaten their lives and assault them with or without the battery is/are criminal offences!  To burn a church, smash that church up and to destroy peoples property is and always has been a criminal set of offences in England and I am sure The Common Law arrived in America with you too and will be written into your constitution!

Yet what protection do we have when criminals such as this want to f*** his neighbour! Here we have another twist in the devils tail,  somewhere here or on ZB. I read that a certain person could not understand why it was alright to have sexual intercourse with Lot's daughters and leave the male angels alone!  A man, brutal as this may seem Grammy was designed to mate with a woman.  He certainly was not suppose to mate with another man in sodomy!  An abomination is the English word to describe what The LORD thought about homosexual-sodomy!  To have taken Lot's daughters in rape was not as serious as sodomising an angel/another man although both were hanging offences not so long ago!

So your Lesbian walked into no holds barred Christians who were no longer in nicely nicely mood anymore because of the constant hatred from the degenerates these days around us in cyber-space and the real world.  She really needed to be with loving Christians away from the Sodomite gaze and interference.  Woe betide you if you try to convert one of their converts back to Saving-Grace, common sense and a life not tarnished by sin, sodomy, and lying cheating followers of Satan!

I don't think I can say which sin is greater homosexuality or non married couples with kids...or any other sin, for that matter.
A sin is a sin is a sin.
Again, not for me to judge the sin level. It is for me to witness to God's truth which says "this is a sin". The person in sin needs to know what God wants of him. What he does with it, is a matter of his free choice as given by God Himself.

And I agree with Colin. We don't have to join the sin in order to talk with a sinner.
Yeshua sat with the sinners not as an equal but as a ...how was it written.... as a physician to people who needed one.

Cuomo, the Governor of New York State just signed gay marriage into law.  The RC Church is considering refusal of Holy Communion to the Governor and those in Gov't which support gay marriage.

Gay marriage opposes male and female he created them and the Lord gave Adam a help mate and pro creation began in the human race as in the lower animals.

The gay marriage idea is definitely going to cause problems up the road, after all God created mothers and fathers as the family unit for children
