A café in Blackpool, England, has been told by police that it is committing a public order offence by displaying verses of the Bible's New Testament in public!

The Gospel is truly an offense. The Bible says so.

A good point Ruth,

The Jew is a true son of God by blood.

The Gentile does not usually enter into the promise of The First Covenant anyway.

From this we get the full adopted sons of the Father through their belief in Jesus as the only way into The Second Covenant!

Then they enter the same realm as the Perfect Jew, Jesus, without sin, and He sits in The Presence of The Father because He is The Father and The HolyGhost as well, a Trinity of The Whole Presence, a Triple Holy Blessing too!!!

The Bible applies to The Saved not The Lost as their gift and promise!

Possibly that is why The Bible causes such offence to the Sinner?

Must remember to keep a short clear slate of wrong doing called sin for as a Christian we are not supposed to do it, sin I mean, and of course I would not dream of doing or sitting in it like the worldly people do, do I!

Just a little something for the middle of the week, a Christian should learn how to duck?  Especially when the sons of Satan, homosexuals are around!

I agree. If you are sharing the Gospel, you as well as the Gospel are an offense.

People will become irritated with you. If everyone likes you, you might not be doing what Jesus commanded.

The RC Church has what is termed the New Evangelism which is aimed at the baptized christians who have at least a minimal backgroound in christianity, are living like pagans in a country with a christian background.  Catholics are called upon to evangelize and spread the gospel to this group in their daily walk and this of course should be the calling of all christians, to spread the sweet perfume of Christ around us

In preparing our our furnishings for our heavenly mansion, the thought has come to me, albeit it late in my life, that the many we meet and the mny we know, beginning with our own family may never have their mansions completed or never make it to their heavenly home :'(when we could have have brought them home

I don't think you ever know the actual state of one's salvation.

And I hang on to the idea that some might seek HIM at death. (My dear son in law    )
For his funeral I asked the pastor to speak about that, that we never know what might have transpired between God and our loved one. And besides, God loves them even more than we.

My daughter and my grand daughter at the time were saved and when he died, they were both horribly grief stricken. But more so thinking he may not be in heaven. It was a horrible time.

Hi Ruth,

This is where the cookie crumbles!

For me salvation can not be earned, it is freely given by Jesus' hand!

One thing for sure, we can not bargain it out or earn it by good works either?

But for sure, belief in The Saving Grace of Jesus is the key to heaven and not reason and bargaining even by changing the meaning of the English Language or putting it another way, changing sin to respectability,  the old principle of preaching hell fire and damnation still has it's place in Creation!
