The West Bank

The West Bank was the established pilgrimage route of the Israelites.  So much takes place in the NT along or on the West Bank.  After the annunciation of the Angel Gabriel to Mary that she would conceive by the Holy Spirit and bare a Son who would be named Jesus, Mary straight away set out to visit her cousin Elizabeth in Ein Karem in the Judean hill country. Elizabeth in her old age is pregnant with John the Baptist.    And it is John the Baptist who later baptizes in the Jordan River and baptizes Our Lord in the Jordan................Mary stays with Elizabeth for 3 months in Ein Karem or until such time that Elizabeth gives birth to John the Baptist.
Thereinafter, Mary returns to Nazareth along the West Bank and a decree from Caesar Augustus requires Mary and Joseph to go to Bethlehem while Mary is great with Child.  The route that Mary and Joseph take is the well used travel pilgrimage route of the West Bank.
We are then acquainted with a pilgrimage of the Holy Family to Jerusalem and on the way back along the West Bank, Mary and Joseph become aware that Jesus was not among the group and they return to Jerusalem to find Jesus in the Temple teaching. And there are more accounts which involve the West Bank, the Transfiguration and so forth.
There is such a dichotomy, split with history when we suffer the UN's present day attempts
to create a Palestinian Arab State on the West Bank.  Even throughout history when the Romans named Israel Palestine, it was the Jews who were called Palestinians, not the Arabs.
Having always associated the West Bank with the OT and NT, the life of Jesus, the revisionist history of the Palestinian Arabs is a fantasy upon which a fantasy country country is taking shape manufactured in the aggressive dreams of Yasser Arafat.

I wonder what Revelation tells us about The West Bank?

Is Armageddon in The West Bank I ask myself or is it not!

Geography not one of my strong point with Bible Maps perhaps?
