This might explain something about why I use the name Yeshua to this day rather than Jesus
(My article about it from 2007)

History has shown so much hatred for Jews, by Christians, through the belief that Jews are to blame for Yeshua's death
If that were truly so, then God was not running the show!

Hi David,

As one who is infected with the label, 'Labeller' I need to be able to Pigeon-hole you in the dark recesses of my mind!

You live in a Jewish Culture as a true Israelite!  It would not be wise to make statements as you have here in your country of Israel I am thinking!  I should imagine and I am not surprises to find you as an Hebrew Believer living under the culture of The Modern Hebrew in your Israel of today!

I have always lived in my own culture around Jews in my home town until very recently when it appears most here emigrated to Manchester and London in the last twenty years!

I wonder whether this was your population drift back to Israel as the wander lust and the call of Israel grew stronger! Tomorrow Jerusalem!

So David thank you for that witness and I have filed you under the Pigeon-hole of Messianic Christian!

Your not the first or the last one I have met who have put on the robe of Christ and called himself/herself a follower of Yeshua and I am sure you will not be the last!

He is a wonderful Savour and as an Adopted son of The Father via my belief in Jesus from Gentile Greek/English Culture I salute you in your choice as we both wait for His return as per Revelation and Daniel!

Yours in Christ,

Colin.

PS.  My footer says it all for me anyway too and as a Nation who invented football amongst a lot of other things good and sometimes bad and worse, long live Israel the chosen one's of Father God Almighty Creator/Jesus of The Universal Creation, all of it!

The Holy Spirit is very much grieved by anti semitic thoughts and actions even the most mildest of words against our eldest brothers.  They were the first to hear God's word and many wrote IT and were Martyred  for their faith.
I am most fortunate to have lived amongst the Jews, went to school with them and many were my friends. I have been invited to Synagogues and worshipped amongst them there and then belonged to  MESSIANIC group for a while.
Where we live the different faiths embarked upon a joint venture, we visited one another's churches and synagogues and worked on joint projects such as the homeless coalition, help for mothers.
On a visit to one of the local synagogues I remember some of our children asking innocently "Why don't you believe in Jesus?" The Jewish girls wore white lace doilies on their heads and it reminded me of my youth wearing a white lace doily to church

I must say it warms the heart to hear you folks

When I declared myself as a Jew in the past it was, many times, with an "in your face" attitude, mainly because of what I believed non-Jews thought of us

This forum has definitely changed that and today I don't need that attitude any more

This is one of the things I get from this forum and I thank each and every one of you for it, Yeshua included  thumbsup thumbsup
