Signs of the end of the age

Thought this might be educational for me and perhaps others.

What signs does scripture give us for the return of Jesus. This is, I think, the end of the age.

A really really big one:

The budding of the olive tree.

““Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.”
(Matthew 24:32–33 NIV)

Israel is the olive tree all through scripture. The tree has budded!

It's Israel back in the land of course

The next verse tells us that the generation that sees Israel return to the land will not pass away until all of this happens.

“I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.”
(Matthew 24:34 NIV)

The Amplified puts it this way:

“Truly I tell you, this generation (the whole multitude of people living at the same time, in a definite, given period) will not pass away till all these things taken together take place.”

We are that generation dear family.

The desert will bloom!

“The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.   Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.   The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God.”

There will be a common language again! And it is Hebrew!!!

Zeph. 3:9 For then [changing their impure language] I will give to the people a clear and pure speech from pure lips, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve Him with one unanimous consent and one united shoulder [bearing the yoke of the Lord].

Jews will once again occupy Jerusalem! And they are! And they are building there!

“They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.”
(Luke 21:24 NIV)

Jerusalem was trampled upon by the Romans and the Diaspora and the expulsion to Babylon before that

Israel's military strength will become mighty!

“At that time I will let the clans of Judah be like a ball of fire in a wood pile or a fiery torch in a hay stack. Then Judah will send the surrounding nations up in smoke. And once again the city of Jerusalem will be filled with people.”
(Zechariah 12:6 CEV)

Zechariah is a prophetic book.

This prophecy has been fulfilled in the past when the Lord sent the Israelites into the Land of Caanan and could well nigh be fulfilled again by the IDF

Notice how the entire world is pointed to Israel? We watched Israel all through the OT. And now, we watch her for signs on the end.

Hi All,

It has always been of note to me that Jerusalem named as the Centre of the Earth has still such a notable effect on humanity/Mankind!

Even after the British Empire moved The First Meridian to Greenwich we still have the ancient capital of God's Country and People shown to be Jerusalem?

Could it be a coincidence or is it really that The LORD decides such things rather than Mankind!!!....!
