I have a friend in a northern village of Jish that is about 50-50 Muslims and Christian Arabs, bordering on Lebanon.
They had land that for whatever reason they don't have today
This Christian Arab friend was telling me how we cannot return the land to his own people as long as Israel is under threat of destruction
It is a very sad story for many, mostly innocent people
But like my friend keeps telling me, Israel cannot afford to let Palestinians wash the country with their families as Israel, being a democratic state with voting rights for Palestinians and even parlament members who side with our sworn enemies!!
If I have to give up my granddaughters life so they can have their land back.... I know where I stand
They could have so much if they didn't use what we give them for infiltrating the country....now over 60 years!!
Sorry, but no sane country in the world would allow such a takeover!!!
Did anyone of these Christian Arabs ever stop to think why we have these walls in the first place?!
Even if they did, they wouldn't talk for fear of being shot!
So, for what it's worth, I will not commit suicide so that someone can have his olives back!!!

I've just been reading an article I was going to link to here but it has not yet been translated
The article talks of Al-Qaida having organized their first functional cell in Jerusalem.
The article goes on to say that these militia groups in Sinia, Jeruslem, west bank Lebanon and Gaza are so strong today that Hamas are scared to do anything against them.
I thought it would be a "nice" background to my previous post
and I'm expected to return some olive trees???

David
The problem is that both the Moslems and Christians are identified as Palestinians. At one time Palestinian referred to the Jews only as few Moslems ever settled in Israel historically, and the Christian Arab presence was about the only other presence aside from the Bedouins.
The Christian Arabs are in danger from the Moslem Palestinians, yet their presence is over shadowed by the Moslems who will follow in their tracks and present a problem for Christians and the Jews as far as I can see.
The big Moslem influx began in 1948, when Moslems from the surrounding Moslem nations poured into Israel looking for work. They sought an identity for themselves and called themselves Palestinian Arabs, their respective countries would not repatriate them having now become Arafat's people and so Israel was left with the problem which was a Moslem way of destabilizing Israel as far as I can see.
What say you?
