Well Olivet,
The Persians will have to hurry up, The French are advertising six new electric cars on our TV's.!
We are building a new battery for lots more too just up the road from me!
But we will have to sink several shafts to get the coal out to supply the energy for the power stations to run them when the oil runs out!
Yours in Christ,
Colin.

Battery driven cars cause too much electro magnetic energy in the air, your clothes will cling and you will have to wipe your selves with anti static dryer sheets The bees will die off and the birds will become confused

O is closing our coal mines, Colin. They're awfully dirty, you know...
We have many coal fueled power plants.
But those battery operated cares? Watch out for fires!!!

Well, maybe....maybe not (a gulf war)
But if it will happen, we'll know about it before we hear about it on the news

Hi David,
How very true we have just heard about it. An Iranian Professor of is it Nuclear Physics has just met with a nasty accident with a new adaption of a limped navel mine planted on his car boot with magnets!
They are blaming your lot, now they wouldn't do a thing like that now would they?
Yours in His glorious name of Jesus,
Colin.

As the war drums beat, Obama is cutting military spending . I am not shocked, he has chosen every option to weaken the country just in time

Rick Santorum loves to push back against those who call him a “warmonger,” but Sunday at the NBC News/Facebook Republican presidential debate in Concord. N.H., he showed exactly what has some voters concerned about his hard-line stance against Iran.
Moderator David Gregory noted that the United States has lived with a nuclear Soviet Union and a nuclear North Korea. “Why is it we cannot not live with a nuclear Iran?” he asked. “And if not, are you prepared to take the country to war to disarm that country?”
Iran, said Santorum "is a “theocracy that has deeply embedded beliefs that the afterlife is better than this life .… When your principal virtue is to die for Allah, then it’s not a deterrent to have a nuclear threat .… It is in fact an encouragement for them to use their nuclear weapon.”
Santorum did not address the question of whether he would take the country to war to prevent Iran from going nuclear.
“What about Pakistan?” said Gregory.
“They are not a theocracy and we are hopeful of maintaining a more secular state,” Santorum said. “But there is a serious threat and this administration has bungled it as badly as they can.”

I'm no big strategist but I think the main issue is not nuclear power, it is oil, which still to this day is the only energy stuff that is mingled with cash in our everyday life
We say "petro dollars" I've heard no one talk of "nuke dollars"..... have you?
It's the "good" old money theme which as frontal as it might be is a background for the real thing.....POWER!!!

Oil is the food of America's production. Without food she dies.
I agree. The stimulus right now with Iran is oil.
I, however, can't understand how any western power can allow Iran to become nuclear. It's just schizophrenic.

They are NOT letting Iran get nuclear. This is what much of world policy is about.
Iran being nuclear is a threat to the oil industry. The whole gulf is at Iran's finger tips, if allowed This is how the Nuclear thing seems to be THE issue
Meanwhile don't just read the news. Breath in the underground gossip especially about this quiet war that has been going on for a few years now and no one will admit to. (Latest, being the assassination of one of the leading scientists they have)

David
The quiet war has been the destruction of nuclear site after nuclear site which Iran insists has not been happening....More than a decade ago I wrote in that he who controls the Strait of Hormuz controls the oil energy of the world...the US answer has been nuclear power plants and clean coal....solar and wind not efficient enough?

Ah..... Olivet, if it were only so!! Solar energy. Wind energy. Water energy. Cow gas energy....LOL But you know... if we could harness all energy used by politicians blabber....my.... the planet would be spinning at twice the speed I'm beginning to think that they took the Mt. Everest conquerors saying "We climbed it because it was there!" and used it the same way, that is to say: " we are using nuclear power because we can!" Great reason, eh?

I think there is another worry about Iran going nuclear. It could spark a nuclear arms race among other Arab nations because the thought of a nuclear armed Iran scares them as much as does us.

Yes, The Suadies have already mentioned that possibility and they DO have something to worry about. Turks too. They refuse to be between two nuclear countries (Iran and Russia)

Yes, The Suadies have already mentioned that possibility and they DO have something to worry about. Turks too. They refuse to be between two nuclear countries (Iran and Russia) But they seem to want someone else to fix it.
