Hi All,
At 05:00 today Wednesday 18th. January 2012 UTC. Wikipedia is shutting it's servers down in protest to two new laws going through USA. Government!
The beginnings of censorship on the Internet perhaps?
Does anybody here know what this is all about in America?

I'll let one of the authors of the bill explain it: http://www.bloomberg.com/video/83704616/It's to protect Hollywood's movies etc. But Drudge this morning questioned if the bill was DOA? (dead on arrival). There is one in the House and one in the Senate. |

Yes you are right these two acts/legislation appear to be for the English speaking Americans so you are probably alright at Wikipedia.
I wonder where they got Wikipedia from? Using English
Wiki from witchcraft and pedia from Greek feet perhaps, well it is six o'clock in the morning here???....!

Wikis are a great invention
I've been using the TidlyWiki version (there are many) which is an all-in-one web page which is so useful for all kinds of stuff
By the way "Wiki" means quick in Hawaiian.
