There is a sunni shiite war within Islam, they are not a unified lot, the memories of Saddam have created a temporary unity of these sects under Islam and scape goated the christians is how I read this

I would say they have temporarily united the extreme Islam
I hear other Muslims. If they could speak up we would probably change quite a few views we have on Islam
They cannot speak up for fear of death.
As for the Sunni Shiite conflict, it is curbing the "great Islamic Jihad" on the "infidel world"
