Hi All,

I seem to have ground to a stop/halt, so here is a beginnings with reference to Matthew.

Now I wonder where this one will lead me,

Colin2000,

In the Book of Wise, Abegg Jr., and Cook we have at Page 530 this passage,

  129. Redemption and Resurrection at Scroll 4Q521.

Colin2000,

Thinking Christian, what do we have here???....?

___________________________________________

This subsection begins by the writer in the book of Scrolls,

"The Gospel of Matthew tells of an occasion on which John the Baptist sent word to Jesus, asking, "Are you the one who is coming, or are we to look for another?"

Jesus is said to have answered, "Go and report to John what you hear and see:  the blind have regained their sight,   the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the good news preached to them."  Jesus, Matthew.11:2-5 ESV.

______________________________________________

C2000,

So what does this say about us today reading the passage in The Scrolls or in the Book of Books, The Bible I find myself asking myself!!!....!  A question: "What else does Jesus have to do, conduct a choir of Angels perhaps,"

______________________________________________

For in: Frags. 2 + 4 Col. 2 [. . .For the hea]ven and the earth shall listen to His Messiah [and shall all w]hich is in them shall not turn away from the commandments of the holy ones Strengthen yourselves, O you who seek the Lord, in His service.

...... more we to come on this passage but enough to say from me here typing that if you don't seek you will never find, it seems or say, does it not???....?

Sounds encouraging don't you think,

Jesus the Messiah, witnesses not only in words but in His actions even down unto today,

Hi All,

To continue: 4Q525 on Page 533: 131.    The Blessings of the Wise.  [Jesus, Matthew, Matthew.5:3-10 ESV.].

What springs to mind when we read this quote I wonder,

"Blessed is the man who attains wisdom, and walks in the law of the Most High."    [Perhaps v.6 above in the quote!!!....!, C2000 addition here perhaps???....?]!

so great is the similarity of form and occasional similarities aside the Blessings is another example of wisdom literature this comment made by the writers of this book!

On Page 534:  We have, Frags 2-3 Col.2 [Blessed is the one who . . .] with a pure heart and does not slander with his tongue (Ps 15:3 ESV.), for example.  Good in Confession no doubt???....?

C2000: I am afraid I tend to drop onto The wisdom of man is foolishness but if the seeker seeks the Word of the LORD he does stand a chance at allowing the LORD'S wisdom to sink into the skin like the mountain dew perhaps???....?

Hopefully this short post might generate some enthusiasm perhaps,

Seek and you will find that the LORD'S Creation is not as silly as one might have first thought,

Hi All,

Time to put ourselves under the cloak of prayer.

Seeing is believing, what should we be seeing???....?

What are we seeing here,  Jesus is a real witness not only in words in His action's worth meditating on this before we go on further into the Scrolls,  particularity  in relations to Matthew,
