Hi All,

Spreading the Peace about this Easter Sunday morning.

After I stopped spreading the "Peace!" about this morning in my side of the congregation I got a comment from the Master of Ceremonies to the effect, "Colin you must not give the Peace to every one on your side of the congregation because I think I heard snoring coming from the High Altar, or something like that!!!....!"

So in future I will give it to the first in the row and request they pass it on don't you think, any suggestions other than this one???....?

Yours in His Name, you know Jesus,

Colin2000.

Perhaps offer peace to those you can reach from your pew?

Hi Ruth,

Happy late Easter by the way!!!....!

An excellent suggestion Ruth, the only problem with that is at this moment I sit in my pew seven feet above the nearest member of the congregation and receive the 'Peace,' directly from the officiating Priest???....?

However, progress has been made and in future I will give the peace to the nearest member of the congregation in the middle of the rows of their seats in the middle nearest me in descending from on high to the beloved in the congregation.

Failing that, it will be delivered down to them by paper darts or parachute again perhaps,

Hi Ruth,

I sit in the Sunday morning Mass at the side of the High Altar, behind the column to some would be called Jachin, beside the Credence Table and I sit looking at the other column in the Porchway of the Temple called Boaz.

The Sanctuary is extremely high and I would guess that the Church is built on the model of the First Temple in Jerusalem.

I hadn't really thought about it or it's significance until you mentioned it Ruth, one of the retired priests prefers the lower part of the Sanctuary for Mass because his legs are too short he says???....?  I prefer it too because I can get vertigo sometimes when I look down  and then up at the Sacred Place, reminds me of Romeo and Juliet but it is inspiring to sit at the side of The High Altar anyway.  The Sidemen/women need a climbing qualification to light the Six Candles!!!...!

Hope this is not boring if I can find a way to get a photograph on here I will do so.

Yours in His Everlovingtenderkindness,

Colin2000.

PS.  You can look around at this one,
